IC Design – Sophie Tauber-Arp – Wooden Candlestick

These candlesticks were designed in 1929 by Sophie Taeuber-Arp for her and Jean Arp’s home in Meudon-Clamart in the outskirts of Paris. The simple cylindrical and orthogonal form was chosen to inspire her and her husband at home and to correspond with their own furniture designs. Made of solid beech wood, cloaked in glossy paint in four classic colors and with brass inserts. The originals can be found at the Arp foundation in Paris. Edition in collaboration with the Fondation Arp, Clamart @ 2024 and turned in the Black Forest in Germany.
